Features of Active Track that Make it Ideal for Lone Worker Protection

Industries like security, construction, and healthcare, use lone workers for a range of tasks. Amidst other challenges, lone worker safety is one that businesses must consider.

Due to the nature of the environment where they work, in an event of a mishap, they lack any immediate help since there are no people around.

In moments like these, each second is precious, which is why Guard Patrol Products offer the Active Track real time lone worker/man down patrol management solution.

Active Track—A Real-time Patrol Monitoring Solution

Our Active Track solution will provide Real Time Patrol information without the need to download the Data Reader to a PC. All information is accessed via a secure log in from any PC, or Smart Device.

In addition to its normal function of retrieving patrol data in real time from the installed Checkpoints, the Handheld Data Reader can also be used as a cell phone, using a 3G SIM the user can call directly a previously programmed number or send a signal via GPRS to the monitoring station with an ask for reply. It is also possible to receive calls with Active Track Data Reader.

Please note that as the system utilises GSM Technology, if no signal can be found or the signal drops out, even if using the Roaming SIM some real time functionality could be lost. All transactions will still be recorded in the device and as soon as a connection is restored any transaction undertaken will be updated in the central software.

  • Call Button

The quad-band GSM/GPRS SIM connects to the strongest signal, making it easy to make & receive calls on the device.

The Call Me button on the device can make a call to a designated number in case of an emergency or request a call from it. This feature gives the lone worker the option to contact someone should the need arise while preventing calling others or misusing this feature.

  • Panic Button

When needing help, lone workers can press the Panic Button on the Active Track to receive urgent assistance.

Pressing it sends a message to the designated device, requesting assistance. You can program it to include the GPS location of the device along with the message.

  • Man Down Alarm

Among the many dangers of working alone, the worst are the ones that they can’t inform about. Collapsing with no warning doesn’t give lone workers the time to press the panic button. Keeping this scenario in mind, Active Track boasts a Man Down alarm.

This uses the accelerometer in the device to monitor any sudden deviation from the pre-programmed parameters. Should the device fall and remain in that position, it initiates the alarm, sending an SMS to the designated device with the last known GPS location for quick action.

Active View facilitates the smooth functioning of Active Track devices by working as its web-based management portal. It can monitor all devices, events and alarms, ensuring an efficient system. Want to know more about Active Track or Active View?
