Why Do You Need To Go With Active Track?

Businesses that deploy guards or lone workers have a persistent issue to deal with—the safety of their workers.

These people often find themselves in situations where they need to communicate for help. Guard Patrol Product’s Active Track is the answer.

What is Active Track?

Active Track is a highly functional, easy-to-use device that creates a channel of communication between the worker and the control room.

It has features like a dedicated GPS button, a Panic button and a Call-back button, all incorporated in a hand-held model.

What can Active Track do?

Useful Features

Voice Calls

Workers with access to mobile phones end up misusing them. They laze around, using their phones for leisure rather than having it on for emergencies only.

Active Track has sim card support with an optional roaming SIM. This limits the calls to work only and allows users to send/receive text alerts with limited data usage. The ‘Call me’ button requests a call from the control room. You can reconfigure it to call a designated number, too.

GPS Tracking

The in-built GPS receiver works perfectly to track the workers out in the open. When inside, the tech switches to A-GPS, using information from multiple cell towers and the existing satellite-based information. Although the accuracy drops a bit, it is still useful in most cases.

When pressed, the GPS button on the device sends an SMS/alert to the designated person with location details attached.

Active View

The Active view is a cloud-based web portal that allows tracking and communication of Active Track devices.

The software displays names of RFID tags and devices with their respective charge and signal strength. It works hand-in-hand with our device to help both the business and the worker.

Geo-Fencing

The GPS can link an Active Track device to a specific geographical area.

The system receives an alert whenever a worker leaves the designed area with the Active Track on them.

Tough Built

We assemble all these sensors inside a tough, shock and water-resistant case. A tamper-proof cover and impact detection facility protects the battery inside.

Direct Applications

Lone Worker Protection

The workers who work alone are at risk. This is because, in case of a mishap, there is no one around to help them. Not anymore!

The Active Track has a ‘Panic button’ which sends a request for immediate attention. The request either goes to Active view or a specific mobile phone. Apart from that, you can pre-programme the accelerometer of the device to set an ideal state. When Active Track deviates from that state for a specific time, it sends a ‘Man Down alarm’. This is in place for situations where the worker could not press the panic button on time.

Proof of Presence Reporting

You can place the RFID tags at various locations. The Active Track used to read those tags act as proof of visit to that checkpoint.

Each of these checkpoints has a unique name. When read with the Active View, it registers the name of the checkpoint along with the name and ID of the device used to scan.

Conclusion

It is not limited to these applications. With its unique features and specifications, Active Track can be a game-changer for many industries. For further information or placing an order, call on 0800 8174259 or contact us here.

Proof of Presence Devices for Cleaning Operative Monitoring and Activity Reporting

In this changing world, the cleaning regimes within all organizations will need to be strengthened and increased in frequency to reduce the possible spread of infection via contaminated objects within the workplace. When someone coughs, sneezes, or exhales in an enclosed area they release droplets. These droplets can fall onto nearby surfaces and objects where they will remain infectious for a period. https://www.who.int/docs/default-source/coronaviruse/advice-for-workplace-clean-19-03-2020.pdf It is, therefore, essential that you ensure your workplaces are clean and hygienic for employee and visitors, as well as members of the public. Proof of Presence/Patrol Management Systems  have been used for many years by shopping centres, arenas, offices, and facility management companies to monitor that cleaning teams are regularly checking and cleaning all workspace environments and communal areas. This will then help to reduce health issues, avoid slip hazards and provide detailed reports to

Body Worn-cameras vs CCTV cameras- Similarities & Differences

Technology has come a long way. Today, it influences and improves almost all aspects of our society. Security is no exception, and with good reason too. Crime has always been prevalent and has continued to rise in the past decade. Countermeasures like CCTV cameras and Body-worn cameras (BWC) came into existence in response to the spike in crime rate. Both offer concrete evidence which helps determine the victim, the perpetrator and the nature of the crime. Let’s delve deeper into what they are along with the similarities and differences between the two. CCTV Camera The Closed-circuit television camera is a system used for surveillance and video recording. It uses an in-built camera to record evidence that can be viewed and stored in a variety of storage mediums. While old CCTV cameras captured video in black and white, the new ones record colour videos. They also have other useful features like zooming into a specific area and tracking faces.
